"I guess this is what it's like to be around a psychopath, not knowing what to do at any time, not knowing what move to make. It was like a game, a game she had dragged me into. It's like I had all the pieces laid out in front of me, I had made the perfect plan to win, but the game was rigged and there was no chance I could beat her, no chance I could beat Sophie". Nobody in their right mind would genuinely love killing someone in the most brutal way possible. It's a good thing Sophie Galavin is not in her right mind. Being an undercover agent for most of her life means she's seen lots of things, but instead of cowering away in fear she's accepted them, and due to that most people tend to find her personality revolting. She's less interested in other people's opinions about herself and more interested in her own opinions about the new partner she's been assigned. Warren Damala is popular among agents, specifically girls. He's attractive and he's smooth. He also has no idea how to deal with his new partner who's ridiculously psychotic. He's either going to avoid her completely, which is basically impossible because of their job, or learn how to get through to her without ending up shot in the head.

When college professor Jason Goodman is asked to begin seeing a seventeen year old girl who seems to be mental, he doesn't want to do it. But when the professor agrees to see the girl just one time, he knows that he has to get into this girls head. She speaks of dead people, voices. She says things are happening or have happened when they really haven't. The girl says that she has to help people before they get hurt. She sees things, hears things, and can't seems to control her mind or body. It is professor Jason goodman's job to be somewhat a councilor to her, to figure out why she is acting how she is and then begin to treat her for it. But what happens when the Professor becomes more and more invested in this girl emotionally and...physically? What happens when she begins to get in his as he gets in hers? Was putting the two together a recipe for disaster? Maybe it was meant to be a mess neither of them can clean up...
