Hazer.

"Hazer" is a term used to describe human beings bearing a supernatural ability which causes them to be different from the rest of the human race. Each Hazer's ability differ from each other's.

The year is 2088. Cyrus Matthews is a seventeen-year-old boy living deep within Colorado. Up to his current age, he'd been raised to despise Hazers. His parents died when he was young, due to an accident which involved a Hazer. This event, which he learned when he was about ten years old in a foster home, supported his hatred towards each and every Hazer. Every year, a new Hazer rises -- but it's just the time they take to realize their ability for them to become one. So when one day during the daily Hazer-scan test, the metal detector makes a high-pitched sound when he crosses. He soon learns that his worst nightmare came true -- he IS a Hazer.
