The team discovers the truth about Lloyd's family that was forgotten. Malody Garmadon is Lloyd's older half sister who was born several years before the start of the show and some years before Garmadon and Wu met Misako. The team must adapt to working with Malody who had worked by herself for years after the fall of her father. Lloyd and Malody have to learn to work together as family and overcome the fact that they don't know how to act like siblings without putting their differences of their relationship.

Thorn is a sharp-witted, gothic, and a pessimistic young lady who for the largest part of her life been left alone by her family but now their family is able to be together again, for better or for worse. Her time away has made her disconnected from her family and their traditions and lifestyle, forging her own path in the world rather they like it or not.
