Reaching Safety

Micah Greene doesn't have what you would call a 'normal life.' She is abused by her parents and she is a baseball player. The abuse eventually gets bad enough and she ends up in the hospital. The doctors eventually get the truth out of her, and Micah's parents get taken into custody. Micah gets tossed into foster care. This also means a new baseball team, where she meets Nathan. Nathan is a stereo-typical jock, whom all the girls want. He happens to be Micah's pitcher. They eventually grow a bond, and not just a bond, but they start falling for each other. Just when this happens a couple is interested in adopting Micah. What is Micah's fate? Will Micah and Nathan last?
