Meet Erskine Devlin, just another person in just another story.
He hates who he is.
He's too shy - can't even start a conversation.
Extremely low self-esteem.
He's quiet, so nobody notices if or when he actually does try to start a conversation.
Despite contemplating suicide, he doesn't have the bravery to pull it off.
That last one should be a good thing, right?
Not when you think you're selfish beyond all reason.
One day, he meets someone who changes their life forever.
He even gets the ability of psychokinesis.

Sequence Break
Charles inserts himself into a dating simulator where the main love interest commits suicide. His main objective is to stop the main character from dying, but he continuously fails at this. He starts doing more drastic things as he resets his game save file repeatedly, but the world cannot handle all the tampering he has done. It's only a matter of time before the code itself fails to continue. TW: Suicide, dark themes, heartbreak, and general sadness. Metanote: Suicide, suicidal thoughts, and the lack of consideration for suicide (usually by people joking about it) has been detrimental in my life, and it's taken away a lot of the spirit in me. This story is not meant to glorify suicide, but rather, to show the constant pain that it can leave people with. I am not saying that those who committed suicide are somehow "evil," but I am saying that there are real-world consequences for those who are left behind. Alone in the Office
"Stanley, if you walk off that ledge one more time, if you kill yourself again, I will not take part in this anymore." There was a huff. "I tried to stop you but you somehow found a way around it. I refuse to try anymore." What did that mean? "Wouldn't take part"? Stanley was curious, he had to admit. And instead of asking, instead of communicating, he casted a glance at the ceiling and threw himself off the ledge for the forty-sixth time. There was a sickening thud and a large, shooting pain throughout his body before the world began to fade. "... Fine. Have it your way." He looked at me in the eyes, his face was so red. His eyes were still brimming with tears, he took another shaky breath, and said, "How the hell are you still with me?" He questioned. "My life is so messed up. How can you even love me?" His voice broke, as my hands went cold. I stopped holding his face. "How can anybody?" He asked quietly while sobbing. My eyes filled with more tears, this was breaking my heart. I hated that he thought he wasn't good enough for me. He was way more than enough for me. I loved him with every inch of my body. Everything I would ever need is him. Only him, and nobody else. "I hate that you think you're not good enough," I replied. "You are good enough," I added. "My life before having you in it was horrible. I hated my life, and now that you're in it, it's amazing. You made my life better, Miles. I can't see my life without you." I promised. Tired of Lies
*(COMPLETED) "The worst thing about being lied to is knowing you weren't worth the truth." He bit his lip. "I wanted to te-" His eyes began to water and as a single tear fell he looked at me and said "but what if you've been lying for so long you don't know how to tell the truth?" "I have and so will you." He shook his head, shut his eyes, and leaned his forehead against the glass. "And here I was thinking you would admit that you don't tell the truth either." I gripped the telephone as my knuckles turned white. "What do you mean?" "Come on Zoey I've seen you sneaking around acting like you're busy. You're hiding something and you won't tell me." All Zoey Campbell ever wanted to do was keep her head down and get through high school. Too bad it isn't that easy. Zoey is tired of everything and everyone. She is tired of being pushed around and tired of watching in the shadows. She is tired of pretending to like that girl that doesn't even know her name. I stood on the edge of the rooftop. My eyes closed and my mind free. I'm ready. Now is the time. I could feel my breath quickening, Breathe in, Breathe out.
