"Love?" I laughed at my mother, shaking my head. "Mom, you know love is a rare thing in our world."

I didn't answer her. I wasn't mad about the situation I was put in, no.. I knew I was gonna end up like this back when I turned ten years old, so it wasn't a surprise for me.
