She had awoken a foreign feeling within him the moment he first saw her. Before she came into his life, he hadn't even known that he was capable of smiling. She made him alive, she was his light, his fire. And now that she was gone, the King of Darkness and Death was going to do everything in his power to get her back! This short story is a Sequel to the Greek myth, "The Pomegranate Seeds". I recommend that you find a short summary if you are not already familiar with the story because it will give you some important background info.

This is a rewrite of my previous fan fiction "Tales of Hades and Persephone" as well as some inspiration from the original myth (and perhaps other retellings I enjoy). Hades has been alone for far too long. One day he pays a visit to Zeus and requests to marry Persephone. The King of the Gods agrees and even recommends Hades kidnap Persephone, since it's unlikely Demeter will agree to the marriage. Persephone is a young Goddess of Earth curious about the world of the mortals. She's always helping her mother Demeter, but one day while watching the mortals she wanders off only to fun into a handsome stranger. After a brief conversation, Persephone finds herself swept away to the Underworld. Will Hades manage to get Persephone to fall in love with him? What will Demeter do when she discovers her daughter is missing and it's all Zeus' fault? Will the mortals be able to survive the wrath of the Gods?
