Zane has turned 16 years old but things started acting strange and he has noticed that he was different, he can't eat, sleep right he was changing into the last vampire on Earth, When Zane learns that he was a blood hungry thing he stopped trying to be in the Shadow Knights and started to be more alone than he already was, Gene didn't like how Zane just gave up and he has seen how Zane has been a little different lately
