There I was.... in detention again my friends were only setting a few seats away how they got stuck here this time I don't know but I did know that we where stuck in this hell hole till 4:00...

"ahhh, Miss Hanson your late." I am so sorry sir it won't happen again" "Alright, just sit wherever you like" I heard the two say, turning my attention from the window to the door. There stood a girl I didn't recognize. She thanked the teacher and quietly walked in and headed towards the only open seat

The seat right next to mine...

As I walk into the school, he spots me and immediately starts talking to me. I brush past him, ignoring him, but today is definitely not my lucky day... He grabs my arm firmly, stopping me, and turns me to face him. The pain on my face contorts his expression. "What's wrong, Emma? Lost your voice, lizard?" I don't look at him; my head is hung low once again. "When I'm talking, you need to look at me!" he shouts, lifting my chin so I have to meet his gaze. I look at him, but it's not with innocence; it's with anger. "Oh, look, Emma's angry, everyone!" he mocks. "Just leave me alone," I say, meeting his eyes as I pull my arm free from his grip and walk away. He stares at me, shocked, as do all the kids around us, not expecting what I just did.
