Wanting to be a superhero and becoming one, are two completely different things. But becoming the opposite? That's way easier. And sometimes it's not on purpose. Fate didn't want me to be a hero. I was a fairly normal girl, growing up in Central City. A city where superheroes and super villains didn't exist... until the particle accelerator exploded. Many people were turned into these metahumans, me being one of them. Likely one of the only changed nine year olds at the time. My parents were both scientists for Star Labs, being two of the many others that died in the blast. Needing to get away, I decided to move to Gotham. A good city to hide in. Maybe it wasn't the best city to move to, but, in the end, I'm glad I did. In the crazy town, I was adopted by the two craziest people there. The Deranged Duo, Harley Quinn and Joker. "Rescued by villains, who knew?" I say. "Villains rescue fellow villains," Joker says. "Sounds funny coming from you," I scoff. "Aww, is that the way you should treat your saviors?" Joker teases. "I could've taken them," I scoff. "Why did you save me?" "We watched you take out the last group of thugs," Harley says. "We've been looking for a protégé, sorta like how Batsy has that sidekick, Robin, was it?" Joker grins. "We like you. You're funny." ... They blame him for what happened to Wally, they blame him for Kaldur almost dying, for Megan getting captured, for the destruction of the cave, and for keeping this all secret from them. Nobody asked him if he wanted to be left in charge, nobody asked him if he was alright during the invasion, nobody seemed to remember that he was only eighteen, nobody seemed to realize that he had to become Batman and protect Gotham along with Bludhaven , and nobody seemed to care about what their words did to him. Everyone knows that stress can hurt you, that you should try to get unstressed when you are stressed. However, some people can't, and so, what happens to them? Warning: language is used, and has some depressing thoughts. Read at your own risk.
