Jessica and Zayn were bestfriends before the X Factor. They were both singers but when Zayn entered the X Factor he decided he had to step up his relationship with Jessica. Jessica accepted being his girlfriend. Zayn & Jessica have been through so much together, since they were toddlers in pre school in Bradford all the way through Zayn's X Factor auditions,bootcamp and his successful band One Direction.
