It's been four months since Meyers Motors visited Japan to merge their business with their Japanese counterparts. Although Connor made a promise to Greyson to properly work on their friendship, he did not account for how much work he would be swamped with once his position changed from COO to CEO. Making his business thrive under this new business expansion was hard enough, but now, new information about technological advancements in their opponent's companies requires him to focus solely on the business, lest they be bought out. Greyson feels stranded. Connor's admission of feelings for her had awaken feelings she never knew she had for him. But with work taking up all of his time, she has been left alone and confused. Now her mother's condition is worse, her ex is back in her life and a new therapist has prescribed her medication that has her feeling depressed. Can these two find each other in the end? HE Series Book 2 (COMPLETED) Despite having "freedom," it feels empty, and Zeina carries the dual burden of inherited beauty and illness from her mother. Her father, weary from caring for their family, is a cheater whom she struggles to forgive, highlighting that her parents stayed together only for her. This painful unraveling of her family has led to a cynical life motto: "Empty his wallet before his mistress does." Questioning if her heart is numb or simply accustomed to pain, then comes her first love as a "light at the end of a dark tunnel," bringing hope and courage into her life. Like the light at dawn, and the last rays of sun at sunset, he appears in her life, reminding her the beauty of life she has been living with him. Given her tumultuous life, she grapples with the dilemma of whether it would be selfish to let him back or if abandoning him, as she did before, would be the only selfless act. Love blossoms in war, but love will choose to remain even when in peace.
