We, homo sapiens, are more than just a collection of folks who look differently and have different customs.  We differ in our ability to interact with our environment and the universe.  Our animal friends have similar variations in abilities.  The world is more diverse than many folks realize.

I am a reader of crime novels and hard science fiction almost exclusively, and yet this story, which I have been writing for a long time, is a love story, I can't explain it even to myself. The characters will have to work through hardship and evolve to be able to surrender to the magical things around them and the flow of the universe and the love of other people. Well, 13 Points made the Long List. I have no idea how many original entries there were but about 940 made the first cut. There's 150 on the Long List. Not bad for my first time out. Now we'll wait and see how we fare on the Short List. May 30th. Well, Sarah and company didn't make the Short List. I can't say I'm disappointed though. Now I have a beloved. An extremely tempting beloved. My demon loves the taste of blood. How long before she gets a taste or our mates?

She imagined it almost asking for her touch. It didn't cross her mind how she knew he'd be soft, or how she even knew the creature was a 'he' to begin with. As her finger just barely grazed the animal, multiples things happened. She felt something shock her causing her to pull her hand back, just as thunder and lightning sounded. When the light cleared the animals' eyes, were narrowed into slits, and it was growling. It was a deep menacing sound that sent her stumbling backward, heart wildly beating. It bared fangs the size of her hand alone dipping its head. Had her touch angered the animal into finally attacking her? She kept moving backward in the rain, slipping in her converses as the creature continued growling. It was then she knew she was prepared to run, no matter what happened. But possessed a very powerful dark Aura. "Let me save you" She faced him this time, no longer in her thoughts holding his rough hands gently. "Running to a pretty demon for help.... ehhh I'm not sure about that" he replied jokingly as he couldn't help but caress her soft cheeks. "I don't know if you are here to save me or destroy me, but I will trust you" "I'm not sure about that too Alex, but let's give it a try" He nodded then disappeared into thin air. "Trust?" She couldn't help but mumble to herself, as tears could be seen slowly sliding down her cheeks, And her wings gradually changing to its original color, Black. Then he woke up.
