It was July of 2010, and I was 15 years old, and growing to be a woman in the hustle and bustle of the 21st century. My earlobes were pierced in two different places, my blonde hair went a couple inches past my shoulders, and my green eyes looking for the newest adventure. And this year, it happened to be a co-ed summer camp for teenagers ages 14-17 who wanted to get away from home. It didn't have any special things you came to learn, but had a lake the size of my neighborhood, a thick green forest, a river, arts and crafts (what summer camp would be complete without it?), acting, bow practice, horses, and the golden promise of two months away from home. And the latter was enough for me to pack my bags and sprint onto the plane to Maine, where camp Larkinson waited. Little did I know, that this escapade would result in much more than a new friend and a bead necklace. If only.....
