In a land where magic was once the norm, it has taken time for the people to adjust to its absence.

In the eight years since a plague took most of the land's Magi, the people of Darkspur have worked hard to put the dark days behind them. Now, after so long, they can truly say the worst is over. But, as the harvest festival draws to a close an unexpected arrival brings dire news, risking everything the population has worked so hard for.

All of this means nothing to Sam. Tucked away in a quiet corner of the Kingdom, his only worry in life is wondering when the next Teller will arrive and bring him some new exciting tale of the world beyond. But unknown to the boy his father has a secret, one he should have shared years earlier, one that threatens to tear his whole world apart.

42 parts Complete Mature
In the timeless realm of Virdar, a secret lies buried beneath the scars of a forgotten war. Seven ancient giants, each embodying a primal element-Water, Air, Fire, Earth, Lightning, Ice, and Nature-were created to protect this mystical land. But a curse of unknown origin turned them into enemies, igniting a devastating conflict that reshaped the world forever. From the ashes of the giants' fall emerged the Deviants-beings of pure, destructive power-and the scattered remnants of their elemental hearts gave rise to seven mysterious amulets, each brimming with untold potential. These relics, whispered to hold the key to salvation or ruin, were entrusted to the newly created humans, who now live under their shadow. As the balance of Virdar falters once more, the heirs of the Grimwore, Fairytold, and Wright families uncover a chilling prophecy: the rise of the Deviants is only the beginning. Among the amulets lies one that should never have existed-the Amulet of Nature, hidden away by Hearsay, a celestial being whose forbidden creations carry a legacy that both binds and threatens the fate of all. When six chosen heirs set out to uncover the Amulet of Nature, they awaken forces beyond their comprehension. Betrayals, ancient truths, and celestial powers converge in a battle where even victory comes at a price. A single word, Evanescet, spoken by an enigmatic figure, alters the fabric of the realm, but the scars of war remain-a haunting reminder of what was lost. What secrets lie within the amulets? Who cursed the giants, and why? And what will the heirs discover about themselves and the fragile world they are sworn to protect? Mysteries abound, alliances crumble, and destinies are rewritten in this gripping tale of elemental power, hidden legacies, and the relentless pursuit of balance.

The Darkbane elves believe it is their penance to spend eternity in Cradelow Valley as divine punishment for forgotten crimes committed by their ancestors. With their numbers dwindling and their magic lost, the Council makes a drastic decree to ensure the survival of the clan. But Liss has plans to escape, along with her best friend Dev. Her goal? Find a spark of magic. If she can do that much, she can prove the goddess hasn't forsaken them and change the fate of her people. ✨ Zan is a changeling and bastard prince of the Yansu, a reclusive dragon-elf clan. He's spent the last decade trying to free his sister from the witches who kidnapped her and stole her magic. Unfortunately, no one believes the crown princess lives, least of all his queen mother. Now the lands ravaged by the witches are stirring to life, amid rumors of the Darkbane's return. If there is any truth to these rumors, Zan will be the first to find out. If the Darkbane elves return, surely they'll depose the witches and set his sister free. Either way, he'll rescue the dragon princess one day or die trying. 🐉 (First draft completed 5/13/24)
