My name is Mia Sawyers, the only daughter of the town's newly elected mayor, Richard Sawyers. My mom, Lucy, is a famous fashion designer in New York. But I've never seen her since I was 10 because she has to go and work there. Since then I became less attached to my dad all because of his job being the busy mayor of our town, Fortville.

Eventually, I became spoiled and emotionless like an immature kid. All because of my mom. Her presence was all I needed, all I ever asked for, but she let me down. Back then, my mom was my best friend. She was my teacher, my mentor. But she left. Without a word, she left me alone.
