Stephen universe reboot

Im writing my own version of Rebecca sugars steven universe, it will have similarities to Steven universe but mostly will be very different from her show. With The series finale already aired and the Steven Universe movie coming out soon will draw the series to an end and I feel like even though I admire the show, I still think there are alot of improvements that could be made to make it better in my opinion. Also the charcters in the cover I got from google images they arent what the charcters would exactly look like if drawn, rather its a concept art in a way.

In my version, the gem and diamond and other minerals and rocks are replaced as plants, typically as flowers and they go by their scientific latin names. Steven is a skinny 18 year old with a very likable and cute personality, despite him being the protagonist of the series and the hero, he can be a male damsel in distress. My version takes place in eastern florida where there is alot of sun and rain for the plant heroins. My version will feature alot more anime tropes, I will not make LGBT themes as the original is widely known for. The plants fuse by belly dancing. There will be male plant characters (They dont belly dance). The story will have alot better characterization progression and arks and some fillers that are actually relevant to the story.
