Yezay is a small island separated by a single, rushing, deep river. This river divides Yezaians into two groups: the Uthando and the Ubomi. They never interact, but have many superstitions and rumors about the opposite tribe.

Ashoni is a young girl from the Uthando tribe. Her mother died when Ashoni was young, and left her with the crazy old town lady. Ashoni grew up as creative, fun, and adventures, rarely ever being home. She spends her time exploring every inch of the forest that leads to the river.

Renila is a smart, isolated girl from the Ubomi tribe. Her mother and father are the leaders and therefore as a "princess" she is expected to be social and inclusive towards the tribe. But that simply isnt Renila's nature. She prefers to spend her time studying and drawing maps of Ubomi's vast, meadow-like territory.

One fateful day, Ashoni and Renlia catch a glance at each other while on the shores of the river.

Somehow, when the two had met, they had this connection. It made them know the fate of the tribes depended on them.

Somehow.
