Is your average 14 year old Steampunk girl - loves inventing machines from junk, exploring, creating maps to the places she's been, and creating groups of her friends to invent things or go on an expedition, but one thing is different - she is one to stay outside talking to her neighbors about her recent inventions or the biggest development in the factories - she dislikes staying in the quiet darkness of her room, inventing something or working on a good time to go out into the nearby woods all the time because she feels locked up. That is of course, until... she meets Neville.
Enter Baron Neville Addle Fellow - your very un-average 14 year old steampunk boy, hates inventing things, doesn't like making maps and really doesn't like going out exploring if he doesn't have to - especially expeditions with a lot people. And, he was very quiet boy, never spoke out of turn, and didn't like to talk unless he had to.

They both find themselves stuck on some crazy expedition in a completely new place where they have to pass tests using their special talents. They will have to work together.

Will these two unexpected teenagers help each other out and become friends? Will Emmeline help Neville out of his shell? And will Neville help Emmeline figure out that quiet places are amazing for the imagination and thinking?
