"Don't hide from me love" his dangerous but yet beautiful voice commands.

Being the obeying person I've always been I step out from behind the tree, my eyes not leaving the green grass under my filthy feet, I was shaking, and scared. I didn't know what this gorgeous man wanted from me, me of all people.

I felt his hand stroke my cheek making my whole body shiver with pleasure, the feeling I have never felt before in my life. He forced me to look at him as he put his finger under my chin, lightly lifting it. Our eyes lock and for the first time in my four life's I felt safe, and for the first time I knew what that word ment. His eyes where icey blue, the most captivating things I have ever seen.

"Mine" He growled and that's when I snapped out of our special moment, as long as he was with me his life was in danger, why did he have to be the one I needed to spend the rest of my life with? I don't want him to get hurt, I don't want him to regret finding me, why couldn't he just let me go? Why couldn't he just let me run?

"I dreamed about you." she leaned closer, and I knew she was preparing herself to catch my reaction. "You were a wolf." I tried my best to hide my anxiety, and tried innocence. "A wolf?" I hope she didn't catch the tremor. "Mm-hm. A wolf. A were-wolf." She kept studying me. Was she actually considering it? C'mon, I just wanted a normal life! Don't tell me she had worked it out. "Remember when we talked about you running away from home? You called yourself a wolf." Ohhhh sh*t. Damn her and her memory. I closed my gaping mouth with a snap, and looked away. "Hey," she whispered. I closed my eyes. "I know this is crazy but... are you?" I glanced back, worried to high hell. "Am I what?" She sighed. "A were-wolf, are you a were-wolf." She looked tired, and I wondered what she was thinking. My voice was hoarse. "Maybe." She looked as if she had been just shocked with electricity. "What?" Oh sh*t. What was I doing? "Maybe." I repeated. She still looked shocked. "Maybe I'm a werewolf. Maybe I was that wolf you saw in the bush yesterday. What would you do if I was?" "I don't know. Are you pulling my leg?" She watched me warily, and I leaned in close. "No." I pressed my lips to hers, and felt her tremble. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Diana Wednesday thinks that she's just going to have a normal, care-free gap year, where she'll find a boyfriend, get a job and live a life, maybe with her BFF Pippa. My Last Breath (Book one of The Portal Series) by Chinesechickens123
63 parts Complete Mature
BOOK ONE: Having enough courage to run through the woods and away from the people who convinced me they were saving me was not how I believed I'd spend my day. Yet, there I went escaping from the only place I knew existed in the world. Being held captive was too much for me, especially when these people wouldn't tell me who they were or even who I was. The first moment in my life I recall very clearly. I awoke in a dark room, with recollection of everything that happened in the world except for one thing. I had no memory of myself existing, I didn't know where I was or why these men kept me from leaving. Days after I first woke I asked plenty of questions, and yet none of them were answered. The only thing I learned was that I was not allowed outside because the woods heald the most powerful magic on the planet, the most dangerous magic. It was more than just bad men and curiosity about the forest that got me to leave, it was a pull towards something; towards magic. Once I was in the forest turning back was never an option, so I put it in my head that I'd keep walking until I found a civilization or a nice paved road that would lead to safety. But that never happened because the forest has a force living through it. Believing that the forest held something strange was the easy part but experiencing it myself was something totally different. I didn't expect anything normal but I didn't expect to be completly engulfed into the forest. I was led by an unknown presence that made me truly believe it was a living being, and in fact it is. I was innocent then, but now I know that anything can be hidden under a small platform in the woods with a secret bigger than the world itself. I was given life that day, until it all ended months later; the day I took my last breath.

I sighed heavily as I scanned the forest. I had heard something or someone to be specific, wandering about. I decided I would leave once I affirmed they weren't a danger. "What are you doing in my land, human?" A deep enchanting voice spoke I sighed once again "I'm not human, just smell like one" I spoke as I turned around to see the most stunning man I have ever seen "Mate" he spoke "Find another female, Lycan" I spat He only growled at me in response. Men. My brother was the same way. It's kinda funny how all, correction, most shifter men think alike. I would've thought he would be different, after all, he is Lycan. Something of myths. But then again, so are the supernatural. I turned away from him, not even looking at him. I didn't want to remember what he looked like so I didn't give him a second glance. I heard him move closer. I quickly grabbed the knife out of my holster and threw it at a tree next to him. He stops moving then. "Heed my warning. It's the only one you'll get" I spoke coldly "I will find you. Then you will have no escape from me" he spoke as he backed away I could understand. Lycans, like lion-shifters, were going extinct. Therefore mates were even more important to them. But, even if I understood I still didn't want to be someone's mate. After all, I was Destiny Requalhi, Creator and Destructor of All. ------------------------------ Destiny Requalhi, a girl with a rough past and set in stone future. She wanted to be a normal lioness when she grew up but got so much more. She constantly is looking behind her back ready for a random attack to bestow itself upon her. How will she react when her biggest enemy comes back from death? ------------------------------ MAY BE TRIGGERING TO SOME READERS! "Fuck, baby. You can't say things like that to me. I want to, also. Trust me." His hand snakes down my body until he enters two of his fingers into my wet center. I can only moan in response. "However," he kisses my neck possessively, finding the right spot to drive me crazy. "I need to build you up to that." He pushes his fingers in and out of me, hitting deeper and deeper as his strokes become longer and harder and faster. "You feel that? My fingers deep in your pussy that's dripping for me?" He licks the side of my neck as my breaths come out in short pants. "My dick is going to stretch you out so much more. When I finally fuck you, you're going to be sore for days. And you're going to love it." ---------- Thea Brooks, an 18-year-old college student, lives her life by a schedule. I shifted uncomfortably in my seat as he stared across the table at me. I could seriously drown in his eyes. He was intoxicatingly attractive and he had to know it. That's why he was acting strange around me. For some reason, he looked at me as if I was the only one there with him. As if nobody else were here. And his voice... it pained me. It actually pained me with how utterly seductive and husky it always sounded. And the way he smelled all the time. I don't know why he smelled so strong, but I didn't mind. He smelled like evergreens and a hint of mint. It sounds like a bad combo, but it dizzied me with how lost I got in it. The thought of not being able to control myself, my thoughts and feelings and body when I'm around him, infuriated me. I was so good at holding myself together now, and he just unraveled me so easily, leaving me a mess. I wasn't the slightest bit afraid of him, and I had no idea why either. Just being in the same room, I felt like I didn't have to look over my shoulder. I didn't have to worry. I didn't even know who he was, and he still drew me in. "So, you were in California before? Why did you move?" Grace Hatfield asked, looking at him. She is our school's college and career advisor. She took me in and adopted me a couple years ago. She even gave me her last name. A saving grace. Why had she invited him here? Why did he come? He turned to her with a smile and a shrug. "Guess I just hadn't found what I was looking for yet." Something about the way he said it, sent a shiver down my spine. Why did I feel like there was so much more meaning behind his words than he was letting on? "Well, I hope you find what you're looking for." Grace said, and he turned to me with a devilish smirk and a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Something tells me that I will."

"Please," I heard the boy say softly, interrupting my thoughts, but I didn't dare move closer to him. "Just let me explain." He pleaded me to stay with him. "Wh-what, how?" I stared at him in awe. That can't be true. I must be hallucinating because a wolf cannot turn to a human. "Please, just don't freak out or scream. I'll explain everything if you give me a chance. I'm injured, so I can't run after you," He said then stared at my bleeding shoulder and gave me an apologetic, hurt-filled look, "You're injured as well, just let us both have a talk. Please." I had the urge to listen to him. The way his eyes looked at me was enough, but I was actually excited to know what just happened as well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "M-me?" I asked pointing my finger to my chest. "Do you see anyone else around as beautiful and breathtaking as you are?" He asked me not failing to make me blush. I could tell he saw my pink cheeks because he put his hand on my cheek sending sparks down my spine. "Wait, one more thing before you leave," he said scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.
