Laila Adam a young Dubai Muslim girl, who just like any other girl her age had big dreams and she's hoping that one day all those dreams can come into reality. What happens when she gets a scholarship to study at UCLA. Her parents and family had mixed feelings about it, since she will be going to a non_Islamic country they fear she would adapt to the life they never wanted her to associate with,the life they've be shielding her from ever since she was born. Laila on the other hand was ecstatic, she was happy because finally she will be having the freedom she has been craving for all her life.
