𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 '𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞' 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 Once upon a time, in a faraway land- well, actually near the faraway land of fantasy of which we know much about- there lay a small country named Rihaaya. It was small in terms of its geographical borders but its population was vast and ever increasing, with the agricultural production (for that was the main means of livelihood) flourishing and growing leaps and bounds. It was not a young Land- it had lasted centuries upon centuries, and was ruled by a caring and clever Queen and her kind and benevolent King- but, due to some international worry, it needed the protection of a larger and stronger land. Naturally, the most reasonable thought to secure this protection the King and Queen had was that of a marriage alliance- for, that would guarantee protection and security for years and hopefully generations to follow. And they were most pleased once they received word from the High King of Narnia- who had seen the advantages of marrying into a bountiful Queendom that had an abundance of grains and natural resources- that they were willing to accept the alliance and union. Really, there were only two opposers to this idea. 100 years after a devastating war, leaders of each country decided that the only way to keep peace and civilization was to bring back the way of monarchy. Many countries abandoned the idea of a king and queen ruling over citizens thousands of years ago, but in a hopeful attempt to prevent something as catastrophic ever occurring again, countries came to an agreement. Nothing was a democracy anymore. The people had no say in anything that happens and were immediately killed if they protested against the idea of a monarchy. Princess Lydia Martin is heir to the throne, a soon-to-be queen of America. Her mother and father have been ruling for twenty five years and have to pass down the throne to their only child. Because Lydia is their only child, her safety is crucial. If any harm were to come upon Lydia, then the throne would be at threat and an amateur cousin could rule and America would be in grave danger since they’ve made enemies that would want nothing more than to see the king, queen,and country come crumbling down into pieces. Tensions between the countries are stronger than ever and countries need to be allied with each other since that is the only way to stay alive. Ever since Lydia was a child, her parents have had an arranged marriage for Lydia to wed the son of the king and queen of Great Britain, Prince Stiles. The two are now old enough to wed each other and rule together, but the current kings and queens aren’t ready to give up their throne just yet. With threats greater than ever and people who would gladly see their enemies head on a plate, Lydia and Stiles are tied together and must face the harsh realities of what being royal is really like. The future king and queen who are strangers to each other now have a duty to stay alive and become the rulers of two countries. (Characters rights go to Jeff Davis since he created them. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. The Fanalis were a well-known people; the famed hunters and conquerors of the Dark Continent. With legs stronger than steel that could pierce a lion's heart with a single kick, they were a race to be feared. But also on the same land lived a dwindling race of people who were even more ferocious than the Fanalis. Rumored to fight like real monsters by ripping throats with sharp fangs, slicing to shreds with claws like daggers, and wielding the elements like gods in human form, this legendary race was believe to be naught but myth. The Drakonis. With their name akin to the mighty beasts of wing and scale, they fought with an unparalleled ferocity eagerly sought for by armies and empires. They were a deeply religious and strict society with laws that prevented outsiders from mingling to keep their bloodlines pure. As such their numbers began to dwindle and, with the ever growing demand for Drakonis and Fatalis slaves, their species became endangered. They could not be bred to produce more because each Drakonis can only choose one mate and can only have children with that one mate for the rest of their lives. If one mate was to die, then the other would feel like they had lost half their soul, but gaining a mate unlocks a Drakonis' full potential so not choosing a mate is like a bird never learning to fly. Purposeless. With their people hunted and lands razed, the mighty Drakonis faded into legend and their truths became gossip and the gossip became bedtime stories for children who wonder about adventure and travel. But there was one who hid her true identity, one who played human but always remembered her pride and home from whence she came. She took it upon herself to rebuild an empire for her people; one where they would not be threatened with extinction and isolation.
