The plot twist is basically that Katniss didn't kiss Peeta when they were in the Capitol during the Rebellion, and how it would effect Peeta's recovering, since that is obviously taking it a step back. --- Katniss is broken, tortured, and she has lost almost everyone she ever took a second to care about. CW: Mild sexual content, violence, death, pregnancy, panic attacks PSA, there will be canon divergence, and the later books will get pretty dark. Also, I wrote this when I was thirteen or fourteen, so even though it's edited, it might not be good.
