One day, a snake bit the stars, leaving them wounded and scared.
The stars went back onto the sky. They learned how truly the moon loved them and how it missed them.
The stars helped the moon light up the sky ever since.

"Things are really great they way they are at the moment, and I don't want to do anything to mess it up," Severus said slowly. He kept his head steady, eyes fixed out at a star low on the horizon. Severus refused to look at James. He needed to get this off his chest and it would be impossible to do so if that penetrating gaze was fixated on him. Ever since Sirius's escaped from his family, James cannot stop wondering if Regulus is alright now that he is alone. James tries to talk to Regulus when they return to Hogwarts, hoping to become closer to him. He knows he should not approach Regulus. He knows Regulus is his best friend's younger brother. He knows Sirius would be furious. But he also knows that the curiosity of the forbidden and the allure of secrets make him feel alive. Once actions are taken, they cannot be undone.
