Jaide has been living a tough life since the age of six. With an absent father and her mother struggling with alcohol addiction, Jaide had to grow up quickly to take care of herself and her twin sister Jasmine. Throughout the years, Jaide has carried her family solely based off her instincts. It doesn't make miracles happen but it helps just enough. So far, her instincts have never steered her wrong.

Or so she thought.

Enter Cameron Morant. A bad boy. A well-known gangster notoriously known for his ice cold attitude and intimidating demeanor. Due to his "employment", the only thing he has to rely on are his own instincts. And being a well-known, cold-hearted bastard usually means everyone stays clear out of his path to prevent any possibility of getting on his bad side.

Everyone except Jaide.

"With his death I nearly met mine. Till revenge told me to behead the King." Cameron Martinez, an unnoticed girl who lives in Chicago which seems to be Gang Headquarters for the most dangerous gangsters in America. Her oldest brother, Leon, used to be one of them and died because of it, shot in an alley late at night, alone. Leon supported the Martinez family with his earnings from being a gang member while their mother bought dope. With Leon gone, Cameron and her six siblings have rough times financially. She can do one of three things. 1. Join Leon's old gang, the Chicago Kings. 2. Be a stripper like her mother 3. Become a thief Since the first two don't remotely please her, Cameron went with the third choice. But she doesn't steal petty things such as wallets, T.Vs or anything so cheap. She decides to take from those who took the most precious thing from her; the gangs that haunt the streets and terrorize Chicago's citizens. Cameron goes around emptying the pockets of gangsters, stealing the dirty money they don't deserve. Yes, she realizes how dangerous and dumb this is, but she won't let her family starve. People will eventually see Cameron Martinez as a vigilante heroine, but it was never she who did those kind acts. She can't understand how they could think remarkably high of her when she merely wants to put food on the table. * Robbing gangs isn't smart, at all. When the Chicago Kings hear of Cam's doings, they get worried and paranoid. If one insignificant little girl has the balls to steal from them, what will stop everyone else? When Angel Montez, CK enforcer and Leon's best friend gets the command to kill the Vigilante Heroine he has a clear order. One he fully intended to follow through with. What he didn't plan was being interested in her or that she's the younger sister of the dear friend he lost. Now Angel must pick his own destiny instead of following another. It Started With A Run

39 parts Complete

Cameron Black is the school's nice guy. He has the perfect life. The perfect girlfriend, the perfect family. Nothing bad has ever really happened to him. Annabel Carter is quite the opposite. Nothing in her life is going her way. She's in a gang for a multitude of reasons and the only family she has is her twin brother. They don't even go to the same school. They're different on so many levels, it's ridiculous. So what happens when Cameron goes on a run after having the first real problem of his life and stumbles into the warehouse that Anna and her friends use as their headquarters? And what happens when they recruit Cameron to expose the people at his school for the awful people they are? • • Excerpt • • "So... basically you're telling me to figure out my friends' secrets and then stab them in the back by telling you guys so you can quote-unquote 'take them down'?" I said in a clipped tone. I don't really like being rude to anyone, especially not to the leader of a gang, seeing as I want to keep my life. This though was kind of absurd. "I mean... if you want to live of course," Tyson said trying to scare me. And let me tell you, it definitely worked. I still didn't understand why he even cared. I mean don't gangs only care about drugs and money? *POV's Alternate*
