My first ever attempt at writing a story. Please be honest in your comments. I truly wish to know if this is something worth pursuing, or if it should simply be a pastime for my own pleasure. This story came to life merely from a dream I had one night, so it may be short. Time will tell.
If life were an animal, mine would be best described as a horse. At times, it seemed as weak
and uncertain as a newborn filly, and at others, as strong and reliable as a Clydesdale. Finally, it
was sometimes as powerful, majestic, and mysterious as a wild stallion, and just as elusive:
moving in one direction, only to change course like the changing winds before a storm, with no
warning or clues as to the awaiting cliff further ahead.
In the telling of one's story, it is customary to start at the beginning. Just as a builder
needs a firm foundation to give stability to his masterpiece, so too, I, must start at the
beginning, and thus, bring more clarity to those that would be drawn to my tale.
My name is Magnolia Elizabeth Gray, and this is my silly, startling, and stormy love story.
