There are different religions and ideas about what happens to someone after they die.

Some believe that there is a higher power and others think you just go 6 feet under.

Az does. And so do the rest of the people in the kingdom of the dead. Being a reaper is a job, just like sitting behind a computer at a desk from nine to five every weekday.

To everyone at The End, he is a respected member of the elite squad known as Soul Reapers. To everyone at Fallen Gates High School, he is just Az. A delinquent that should have graduated two years ago.

A guy that can barely remember to tie his shoes is keeping Az tied to the school without even realizing it. Seth Masters has Az wrapped around his little finger and still goes about his day without a clue.

Seth is on a mission to skate through high school and get into the real world and away from his family. He notices the stares from across the room, but just assumes it's the permanent target placed upon his head. He's been unlucky his whole life and he doesn't know why.

There's a break in at The End and a weapon that has been locked away ever since the creation of earth has been stolen. To make matters worse, souls are leaking into the world as monsters that have more than just a bloodthirsty appetite.

Az and Seth need each other to survive this new world, but both boys have secrets that could mean the end of it all
