In the low visibility of the dark, winter night, Caelia ran her left hand along a section of the frozen cliff face in front of her, searching. Her hand paused over an invisible spot on the surface and she pressed her palm against the stone, feeling its icy touch. Several moments passed, until finally a mirrored arch twice her height flickered in and out then appeared before her. It still works, but barely, she thought to herself. As she was about to step through, she caught her reflection in the dark rippling mirror and stood still, transfixed before it. Has it come to this? What she saw was not how she appeared to others. She had grown comfortable in her adopted native skin and had almost forgotten the ancient woman staring vacantly back at her with deep red, translucent eyes. "Hello Aletheia, ancient queen of a dead race," she said to herself, contemplating the weariness of the woman in the mirror - the only mirror in all of Eos that did not lie to her. Why do I keep coming here? Touching her hand to her reflection caused ripples across its surface as if it were water. She stood still, lost in thought. Because they're here.

Orion

When the cloak came off, the nakedness beneath it was colored a warm, dark umber color. Something he had never seen before. The shade was one of a kind, like the sun had made love with the melanin that filled her skin like it was her first love. The runes that covered her were light, like they had been etched into her skin by the moon's very own hand. This woman... this creature, she was covered in the symbols they were all taught as children, but a few stood out to Orion the most. Death. Consequence. Chaos. Liar. Feral. What was she? Orion didn't know, but he knew that he had been shown this dream for a reason: as instruction. You weren't just given dreams like that to log into a journal and then forget about. This was a divine entity calling to a subject they deemed fit to do the chore. But Orion didn't even really believe in that entity. It seemed he'd been given an be objective: Kill her. Stop her from getting to him, and make her suffer for even planning to in the first place- especially after all that the young aloha did to save his pack. She was beautiful. She was terrifying. She was dangerous. ... but Orion was about to learn that this objective was going to be incredibly difficult to execute. Because she was all of those things. But she was also his mate.
