Spin follows Noah and Lilah, a young couple on the run, committing crimes across the south in a post-second-civil-war America. Living on the fringes of a broken society, Lilah empathizes with a hitchhiker they run into at a truck stop, and after convincing Noah, they decide to take him along on their way back to their hometown, Midnight, Mississippi. They soon discover the man is a creole war veteran with an odd disposition and a ton of stories to tell, some so bizarre they're hard-pressed to believe him. Being on the road gives them plenty of time to reflect on these strange tales and delve into their own pasts, remembering their childhood and the decisions that lead them where they are. But, when strange things start to occur and secrets start to be revealed, they realize too late that they've been lead into a web so tangled, they might not make it out. Spin is a southern-gothic inspired, slow-burn thriller with an underlying romance. It is told in dual perspectives with dual timelines and is rated mature. ⚠️Strong themes of sex, crime, language, abuse, drug use, and violence carry throughout. 🔞18+ recommended.
