Metamorphosis, is the life cycle of many animals, caterpillars become chrysalises, and chrysalises become butterflies. With frogs, they start as eggs then become pollywogs and grow up into frogs. It's not as sudden as caterpillars; it's a slow gradual change that doesn't happen overnight. Each day they grow a little bit more. Pollywogs have already grown but, they still have a ways to go. I'd like to see myself as a pollywog: gradually becoming a frog. These are poems about my metamorphosis into a frogTodos los derechos reservados

The caterpillar is a prisoner to the streets that conceived it Its only job is to eat or consume everything around it In order to protect itself from this mad city While consuming its environment The caterpillar begins to notice ways to survive One thing it noticed is how much the world shuns him But praises the butterfly The butterfly represents the talent, the thoughtfulness And the beauty within the caterpillar But having a harsh outlook on life The caterpillar sees the butterfly as weak And figures out a way to pimp it to his own benefits Already surrounded by this mad city The caterpillar goes to work on the cocoon Which institutionalizes him He can no longer see past his own thoughts He's trapped When trapped inside these walls certain ideas take root, such as Going home, and bringing back new concepts to this mad city The result? Wings begin to emerge, breaking the cycle of feeling stagnant Finally free, the butterfly sheds light on situations That the caterpillar never considered, ending the internal struggle Although the butterfly and caterpillar are completely different They are one and the same - Kendrick Lamar

Sometimes we fear truth over reality. But things get dark and heavy and we play the blame game. We end up hurting others or ourselves even. We don't think before we act or we don't say before we do. The Butterfly effect, also can be connected to the domino effect, is the theory that one slight change in time can change the entire world. It is derived from the metaphor that a butterfly flapping its wings can change the weather from a sunny sky to a horrid storm. At least, that's what I remember learning in class. It caught my eye for some reason and I paid attention even harder than usual. But I never could have predicted that I could cause not one, but many butterfly effects. If I knew I was the one responsible for saving the entire world, I would have killed myself already. But it's too late, I'm hooking on a drug and can't escape it no matter what.
