[This is a rewrite of my other story, also named Down up and around.]
Patroclus is dead, and this he knows for a fact. So he is rather surprised when he wakes up to find himself in a world two thousand years in the future, in a camp for demigod kids. Little does he know his true love follows soon behind. When the oracle delivers a prophecy, ordering a quest, how will the old work with the new, and how can Patroclus and Achilles go back to where they belong, in the underworld?

The Day His World Fell Apart
( A/N: Okay, so, I've been wanting to write something like this for a while, but I never really had the motivation to actually write it. I can't promise regularly scheduled updates, but I will do my best. I've also inserted an OC of mine into this story. His name is Dylan. Be nice to him, he's just a sad wet cat of a character.) Dylan was so done with the gods. He'd done everything they'd asked, gone behind the backs of the few friends he had, set several prophecies in motion, and - possibly worst of all - had lied directly to their faces about it. And yet here he was, doing Apollo's dirty work again. Gods, he hated his dad (The only character I own is Dylan, all the others belong to Rick Riordan and the DCU.)

"Why am I here, Dionysus?" Nico asked. "Using my government, huh?" Mister D said. "Did I use that right? Actually, nevermind, I don't really care what you kids are saying now. Listen, I need a favor from both of you." "It's nice to see you, too," Nico said. "No it's not," the wine god said. "I'm sober and you're a pain in my ass. Mouthwash counts as me not being allowed to drink alcohol, too, you know? I don't even have to try drinking it, and it turns into Diet Coke. That's some bullshit. And I can say that without getting in trouble because you're adults now." "D," Nico said. "The favor?" "That was rude. I listened to all your problems and dreams, the least you could do is hear me out," he frowned mockingly. Nico smiled. Despite his arrogant demeanor, Nico began to appreciate how much he truly cared as he grew older. Not that anyone would ever hear Dionysus admit that. "I need you guys to watch a kid for me," he said. OR Nico and Will have been through so much together. Wars, quests, and even Tartarus. But its been a few years, and their time to rest is over. Dionysus has a job for them and they quickly find out that caring for a young demigod is more difficult could have guessed. TW: Graphic depictions of violence and use of slurs. Too Late
As the summer comes to a close Will has to say goodbye to his friends and family (godly side of the family), with promises to visit every other weekend, they leave. And once again Will is left at camp for the winter, but this time he has more than just Austin and Kayla who are going to stay with him, he has Nico di Angelo too. But as the seasons change and the leaves turn from green to brown and as the frost seems to cover the world in white, Will remembers what happened years ago. And as he tries to understand, his world is shaken upside down. His world is in pieces, it is shattered because of three words.
