When Franze Rodriguez, Circulations Manager of the school paper, agreed to write three essays for Rylle Matthew Jacobs, the captain of the soccer team, the writer didn't necessarily agree to become the jock's handpicked secretary.
Neither did he expect the two of them to develop a relationship much more than either of them had expected. Until what seemed like an unlikely partnership - the School Paper Smart-mouth & Soccer Jock - became the talk in the entire campus both in a good way and bad.

*** Sneak Peek
"When you're done checking me out, grab my bag from the backseat, will you?"
I reach for his bag and hold it out to him. He reaches inside the bag and produces what seems like a book. He throws it on my lap and, while it shocks me a little, I'm starting to get used to his sudden demands.
"That's my workbook," he declares.
"Absolutely I can read. Give me the presumption of literacy," I sass and then realize my mistake when he scowls at me. I mentally slap myself for the umpteenth time this evening.
"Good! Then you KNOW what to do with those. I have three write ups pending," he says smugly and his emphasis has not escaped my notice.
"And you want me to write them for you?" I supply.
"Exactly," he nods his head.
"What the hell!! Is it my business? Do you even know how much writing I have to do each day as a member of the publication? I seldom even get enough sleep already. And now you're asking me to write three more?"
"Due on Friday," he deadpans as if I haven't just ranted about how I don't want to do it.
