Sofia and Jensen have been friends ever since they were little. Their mothers are best friends from high school therefore Sofia and Jensen have always gotten along. However, when Jensen's parents get a divorce, he is forced to move across the country and leave behind his best friend. Assuming that she will never see him again, Sofia becomes an introvert and is bullied often because of it. She has no friends, never goes out and she is always getting the top marks in her classes. She is always being shoved around, treated like trash and excluded from everything. Now, nine years after their parting, Sofia finds out that her best friend is returning. How does she feel though? He left years ago and they lost contact after that. Is their relationship going to return to how it was before he left? Or will they not even acknowledge each other? Sofia doesn't know the answers to any of those questions. All she knows is that her best friend is back but now he is the school's bad boy.

"How much of that did you hear?" "Everything after 'he's in the guest bedroom' " Great, that means he heard it all. Maybe im not prepared for this year after all... Maya is a bit of a geek and Nate is the bad boy. He wears leather jackets and she spends her days reading. They used to be best friends. In primary school, those two were inseparable. They were always together. Secondary school came around and Nate decides he needs to stop being a little boy who doesn't have many friends. He wants to make his mark at his new school. Number one... Get rid of Maya. The best way he could think of to do this, bully her. Four years later, he got what he wanted. Maya however, stayed the same. She is still a nerdy girl who has no friends and her nose stuck in a book constantly, or, at least he thinks that. He still bully's her and she still tolerates it. What happens when something goes wrong and Maya lets him in again?
