One Last Time

(CIVIL WAR AU) Astrid never experienced heartbreak, as when she had to send her sweet husband, Hiccup Haddock, off to fight in the Civil War. He left her alone with their three young daughters, Ida, their six year old, Ethel, their three year old, and Sallie, their six month old. For three years, she waited his return; but when she receives the news that he perished at Gettysburg, things take a turn for the worst. She faces losing not only the farm and her husband's beloved horse, but also their daughters, her only remaining reminder of him.
For two years, she battles her depression, working and maintaining the farm, keeping up with three jobs, and caring for her children. But what happens when a stranger arrives in their small town of Berk? A stranger she finds herself familiar with for some reason.
