On an October morning, the wyverns are flying over King's Cross Station. A train is about to start a voyage across the wizarding communities of Europe. All kinds of passengers are gathering on platform 7 1/2, Hogwarts graduates, goblins, muggle train enthusiasts, excited children, honeymooners, Aurors, and spies. Amongst them is Lindsey O'Brien, proud Ravenclaw alumni who works as a legillimens for The Department of Mysteries. Her fellow passengers are not all that they seem and there are whispers of a wizarding war on the horizon, just as muggles are signing the peace treaties after their own Great War.
A runaway dog who eats wands, a bewitched timepiece, and an occamy pensieve will help Lindsay discover what happened to her twin brother and whether magical war is looming. On her journey, she will meet those who will change her life and help her change the future.
