"Guys, I think this is what fell from the sky," I say as I look at the spherical object that seems to be giving off a strong energy along with its purple glow.

I reach out to touch the object when I suddenly feel a hand grab my arm to stop me.

"Are you sure you want to do that Jane? What if a giant creature comes out and attacks you by spitting out fireballs or something like that," Ben say.

"I guess we'll just have to find out. Do you guys want to help me or stand there and watch me?"

Ernwood Forest is home to winged people no bigger than a person's hand. Hidden away from the eyes of all humans, they live within the woodlands in three secrete tribes. Things can be tough in a world so much bigger than you, but the tribes are strong and protect the tiny people against all dangers. Even humans. Three tribes. Only three. That is the truth everyone knows. Until Rosin discovers that what she grew up believing doesn't even scratch the surface of what's out there in the forest. --- Rosin Magnolia hates people. The safe refuge everyone around her calls 'home' feels like a prison to her- so when she learns that there are other tribes somewhere in the forest, the decision to leave is hardly a choice. She makes it her mission to search the woodlands and bring the lost tribes together. But to do that, she'll have to leave her own tribe behind... which means leaving the people she loves most in the world. The forest is rife with predators. Beasts like humans; towering beasts that prowl through the trees without care or concern for the life they might trample. Leaving might just turn out to be a suicide mission. New edited version out now!!! I highly recommend reading that one instead, as this was the very first rough write of this story! As an alien invasion begins, a hiking trip with friends turns into a survival mission and an epic adventure. When Morgan finds herself alone, who will she trust and who will be her best ally against the apocalypse? Faced with the struggle against these aliens, she has to decide who, or what, will be by her side as she fights for her life. Where will this survival adventure even take her? And what is she willing to do to save her own life and even her planet? Prologue I used to have a nightmare when I was younger. It was always the same order and the same impact. It started with the warmth of sand consuming my feet. I looked up to see a warzone. There were flashes of fire, water, and lightning. It was like a war of the gods. Suddenly I felt the heat on my back. I turned to see neon red and yellow flames consume me. I ran to hide in the bushes that were next to me, feeling out of breath I tried to calm myself down. Strands of dark red hair covered my face. I proceeded to swipe my hair and look at my surroundings. I heard sobbing coming from near me. I trudged through the bushes and toward the sobbing when I got to under a willow tree. "Hey, are you okay?" I asked. I saw a girl with long dark red hair being the cause of the sobbing. She had a huge gash on her forehead with blood trailing down her face. She also had burns on her arms and shirt. The boy was in much worse condition. He was covered in burns, she was covering his face with only his hair showing. They both had the same colored hair. Suddenly my necklace started to glow with an amber color. The girl in front of me had a similar amber glow. Two amber crowns sat on top of the pillow. One female and one male crown sat on top of the pillow. Once I walked closer the glow came back. Once I grabbed the tiara everything became white. I was once again in another room, I attempted to move but I mysteriously couldn't. A neon purple bolt of lightning hit my chest. We both locked eyes with each other. Was that me? Before I could find out, the ground started to be drained into a whole. I was sucked into the drain and everything soon became black and I was free-falling. My back soon hit the ground of the room. I rose to look at the surroundings of the new room I was in. I fell to my knees from the pain. Then a person walked forward and grabbed my face.

Ernwood Forest is home to people living hidden from the prying eyes of humans; the Winged and their tribes. These people stand no taller than a few centimetres off the ground, meaning that things can sometimes get a little difficult... especially when humans are involved. But life isn't all bad. For the first time ever, Azure and the tribes have a human of their own protecting them from the sinister forces beyond the edge of the trees. As the months of winter roll in, nights are growing longer and snow has settled on the leafless branches. The forest is still. The only humans anyone expects to see are the few that know of the tiny people's existence. But the tribes are not alone in the forest anymore. The abductions begin. The past awakens. And a long forgotten shadow falls over the forest. Azure and the others once again find themselves having to fight to prevent their family from being ripped apart- only this time, things are different. This time, even the humans are in danger. ❤️❤️ Updates: When I can ahh❤️❤️ ⚠️ Mild fear/ violence warning --- This is the third part to this little trilogy :) I would recommend reading the other parts first if you can suffer through them. Stranded on an uncharted island during an expedition gone wrong, Lyra must find a way to not only escape the strange island but survive its brutal environment and the creatures that lurk there. The last thing Lyra expected on this expedition is to end up stumbling into the territory of a highly aggressive and highly territorial beast that sees her as its next meal...or so she thinks. ----- Lyra has always suffered from a fear of snakes, ever since she was a young girl. She has done well to avoid the scaly creatures and keep her distance from them even while working as a toxicologist who researches and makes lifesaving cures for snake bite victims. However, working in such a field doesn't completely keep her from interacting or coming close to the animals she fears so much, especially when she's sent on an expedition along with some explorers to an uninhabited island to research and discover new species of plants and animals as well as search for an elusive and highly venomous serpent that is said to inhabit the strange isle. It also doesn't help when their helicopter suddenly malfunctions and the group ends up crash-landing in the middle of a dense jungle with no way of contacting the outside world for help. and to make things worse for poor Lyra, something seems to be stalking her in this new and unfamiliar environment. It's bad enough she's trapped with no way home in such a dangerous place, but when she comes across signs of a monster lurking somewhere on this uncharted isle, she comes to find that the worst of her nightmares have only just begun. because the thing that's been stalking her from the shadows as fangs and scales just like the creatures she fears the most, with intentions of keeping her trapped with it on the isle.
