River is a teenage boy, and is not only bullied at school, but was abused by his father. He just wants to find real love, and one day is taken away from his abusive dad to an orphanage. After being in many other abusive homes,  Dahvie from Blood On the Dance Floor adopts him. He goes through a few relationships, thinking he can find love from them... when really it was two other guys he never expected to love and want.
