Thea Rose is satisfied with her life. School is easy, friends are goofy and she wouldn't want it any other way. That is, until one wrong turn down an alley opens up a whole new world of supernatural beings and magic. Now, after having a glimpse into the paranormal, Thea is unwilling to turn back to her old life. With no clue what she's getting herself into, Thea dives into this new world head first. But when she makes her way into an academy for supernatural beings, she'll start to realize just how dangerous her pursuits really are.

     I'll be the first to admit, The Angel of Death is an odd nickname. It's not something you would call your spouse out of affection or endearment. It's not a name you would brag about on your eharmony profile, or casually talk about with your coworkers. And it's definitely not something you'd like to be called while walking down the street. Trust me, I'd know. 
In no way, shape, or form was I happy to receive this title. Some used it against me, trying to hurt me with this name. Others truly saw me as The Angel of Death.
Of course with a nickname like that there has to be a story. Mine starts long before The Phoenix Fire, before I was suspended from the Academy, and before Corbin's murder. It started on an almost ordinary August afternoon...
