Elanor King is a young woman who hasn't had the easiest of lives so far, growing up in an orphanage knowing nothing about herself but her name. The only thing to tie her to a history of a family she might have had is a ring. Now she's managed to make a living for herself and she's proud of where she is, of the life she's made for herself.

That is, until she encounters a man of the likes she's never known. Their first meeting turns her world upside down, and she finds that weird things now start to gravitate around her. Things that don't add up. Problems she never experienced before she met that man.
