The Harbinger by Nicole614ever
18 parts Ongoing Mature
In a world where the primordial command the heavenly realm and govern over all forms of magic, dragons and orcs dominate the forests, colossal sea guardians and leviathans patrol the oceans, humanity struggles to coexist with demi-humans while harnessing the rare gift of magic. Six great continents are ruled by powerful emperors and empresses, their alliances and rivalries shaping the fate of the realm. On the continent of Azarithr, war is waged against its weaker neighbor, Eryndor. For weeks, the bloody conflict consumes lives and resources, leaving devastation in its wake. Among the noble families caught in this turmoil is House Ashwynd, tasked with supplying warriors to the royal army. At the helm of this responsibility is Duke Raymond Ashwynd, father to five children: four sons sent to command troops on the frontlines, and one daughter, Rayne. Nineteen-year-old Rayne is no ordinary noblewoman. Bright, resolute, and fiercely independent, she possesses a rare and potent affinity for magic-an ability that sets her apart in a world where such power is a rarity among humans. While her brothers initially shield her from the dangers of their world, their perspective shifts upon discovering her abilities. No longer a sister to be protected, Rayne becomes a respected force within the family, supported in her pursuit of knowledge and mastery of magic. As war rages on, Rayne must navigate a path where loyalty, power, and her own convictions will be tested. Will her gift be a beacon of hope or a harbinger of destruction? This is her story-the rise of Rayne, the whisperer of magic, and the third hero in a saga that will change the course of history.
