"I am so sick of living, so tired of living in fear, so pissed to have gotten the life I now have. What I ever did to deserve this will remain forever unknown to me."
Hadley Johnson lives trapped in a dangerous world that is only visible to her bare eyes. Though she may remain the tough cookie, not afriad to pack a punch, typical scene badass kinda girl on the outside, she is broken beyond repair on the inside. The walls of her distrust in people continue to build as she desperately tries to fend for four lives against a living nightmare.
Hadley lives with her eight-year-old brother Nate, her deaf five-year-old sister Shiloh, and her yet-to-speak, yet-to-walk, 10-month-old baby brother Bentley in Los Angeles, California, though they have none of the glamorous, dream-like lives that most people have when they live here. All their lives they have known nothing but pain, fear, and distrust. Hadley struggles to feed, clothe, and take care of her dear younger siblings, as her drunk son-of-a-bitch father beats, harrasses, and sexually assults them on a daily basis. Though she will take every whip, every kick to the ribs, every smack to the face to protect the innocence of her brothers and sister, she knows she won't be able to stand for it much longer, that eventually someone in this battle is gonna win, and that that someone will not be her.
Struggling to be the parental figure in the young lives of her siblings Hadley will go to any extreme to save the most precious lives of the ones she loves whether it be stealing food from grocery markets or swiping the looses pieces of clothing off of people's backs. With not even a cent to spare Hadley couldn't have it any worse. So while running from the cops someone must enlighten her on how she ended up in One Direction's room....
"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."

Y/n wakes up in the deadly Squid Game, surrounded by strangers and fighting to survive. What she doesn't know is that the mysterious Frontman is watching her every move through the cameras- and she's caught his attention.
