19 year old Scientist Jack Luther Blue is obsessed with the idea of superpowers and has been developing tech character for years but when a supposed superhero Captain Light pops into town Jack has the perfect target for his experiments. Here we are now Jack kidnaping Captain Spirit. Well not in the first chapter tho because drama~

Hope Lauren has read her share of comics. She's seen supers around her city and even been saved by some on occasion. And she always hoped that she'd be able to join them. With Jack, her grizzled older mentor with secrets that could shake the world, and Pantheon, a new team of heroes, Hope will have to fight against monumental odds to save Oleander City. In a world of action, comedy, tragedy, and adventure, there's plenty for a new hero to do. *Readers can expect a mostly adventure-themed superhero journey that will include a slice of life, action, and hopefully exciting world-building. It will also contain a slow-burn GL/Yuri plotline, which I'll eventually get to when I feel like it, I guess. Shortlisted for the Open Novella Contest 2019 • Being a Supervillain is tough. Between managing a secret lair and making sure your mom doesn't stop loving you because you keep telling everyone she's dead, it's a really hard business to be good at? Add to that, the fact that somehow you got arrested because your cat sitter didn't take the day off and then you go around expressing your unconditional love for pancakes in a Super holding cell because technically they can't put you in a proper prison and you don't really have a choice because lawyers are expensive? And then, you realise your best friend is plotting go take over your spot as the greatest villain there ever was? Okay, maybe not the greatest, but you do come pretty close to it! To top it off, there's that one Superhero who's just so completely gorgeous, you couldn't imagine any harm coming to them? Because they're just that precious? I guess that makes me a Supervillain with minor time travel superpowers and a huge crush on a not so powerful Superhero? And all you have to do is protect yourself and everyone you love from your ex best friend/sidekick --because let's face it that's the highest level of praise for a wretched traitor here--and you also have to get out of Super Holding somehow? Their sophomore year is just about to start and they decided to go shopping for new clothes for school and end up going into a magical store that they think is a 100% normal store. In this particular store, they each find a beautiful necklace that they think represents their personality. But what they don't know is that they actually just picked up an incredible, hard responsibility to handle. There are five different elements, death, fire, water, air, and life. Emerson Rogers liked to think of himself as an ordinary teenager. After all, he had no reason to believe otherwise. He went to an upstanding private school with the rest of his friends, was a straight-A student, had no disciplinary issues, and was well-liked according to his classmates and teachers. If anyone were to take a glance at him, they would assume that he was just another carefree rich kid with no problems in his life to worry about. Unless you consider the fact that his evening plans included putting on a blue super suit and speeding through the streets as a crime-fighting superhero. Okay, so maybe his life wasn't as ordinary and carefree as he liked to portray it. With Emerson starting his senior year of high school, things have started to become a bit more tricky than he would've preferred. Defending Jefferson City and maintaining a normal school life as a cover can be hard, but throw in his best friend getting closer to the truth about his alter-ego's identity and a mysterious villain working from the shadows who always seems to be two steps ahead, living a double life is going to be his biggest challenge yet. Especially when new villains start crawling out of the woodwork, thirsty for a fight, and his old villains return stronger, angrier, and looking to settle a score. As Emerson starts to uncover the truth behind where all these villains are coming from, he finds that not everything is what it seems on the surface. And that he and this mysterious villain have a stronger connection than he originally thought.

The dark powered must be stopped or else the poor and innocent light powered be forced under a reign of Terror. That's what it looks like from a normal point of view, but is it all true? We never know because we never really hear the Villain's story. There are many bad people out there but is it destiny and fate that keeps some behind bars and others in the comfort of their homes? Can we not fight against our destiny and choose our own path? Villains are always hated, but do all of them deserve it?Concluída
