Eden is a pirate, as are her friends, Hunter and Ever. They sail the sea where the beautiful mermaid kingdom of Langilea teems with life beneath them. In a world where everyone has special abilities, Eden's is especially rare, she can explore and manipulate memories. When a merman boards their ship, the Liberator, and tells Eden and the crew what's really going on in the mermaid kingdom beneath, Eden decides to help. Unfortunately, plans are changed when Ever, the captain and Eden's closest friend, is captured and held hostage, forcing Eden to embark on a journey to save not only the kingdom of mermaids, but her world of pirates as well.
When Mave boards Eden's ship, he's just following orders. Having his memories returned brings unbidden regret, and he would do anything to have them taken from him again. But what happens when he starts to realize he has something worth remembering, and must choose between remembering and forgetting?
