Sofia López's mother was a teacher at East Las Cruces Academy before a school shooting that took the life of her and the three students she was trying to protect. It's been years since her mother's funeral, but Sofia is still healing. When the anniversary of the shooting rolls around, a letter addressed to her mother before she died is revealed, a response to the letter her mother had been writing before the shooter attacked her and the three students, one sophomore and two juniors, that were to deliver her response. When the last thing her mother read is returned to Sofia, she learns that her death wasn't exactly as she perceived it.

WARNING!!!! explicit language, abuse and strong sexual content. "Mi tired a yuh a swear 🤬!" I say out loud then quickly regret it. "Repeat weh yuh just seh pu**yhole!" He dare me. Tired a who?
