They call him Smoke, she calls him her Hero.

*this is my first book*

Hartlee Evans has been unwanted her entire life. By her parents, kids at school, and her uncle who abuses her mentally, physically, and sexually. She is sick of it. Sick of all the pain and suffering that she has always been subjected to.

Smoke is the kind of man you wouldn't want your daughter dating. The kind of man that makes gang leaders run to their mothers. Although, he is also a very loyal man. When he makes a promise he sticks to it and follows it through. Even if that means following it through to the end.

So when Smoke finds Hartlee slumped down in an alley with the barrel of the gun she's holding in her mouth, will he stop her? If he does, can he save her from the darkness that's surrounded her for years? Can Hartlee break down his walls and get to the kind, loving man she knows he can be?
