I didn't know whether I was far away from home, or beside it. How much of my life had I missed? How much had my kidnapper stolen from me? And would I ever find my family again? I could be anywhere in the world. Yet I would rather be on the streets than anywhere close to him. When I finally escaped I didn't stop going until I couldn't go further.
