Caged

Haylee Merrick has always felt so claustrophobic.

Her misunderstanding mother breathing down her neck every minute of every day.

Her father always away on important business overseas.

The pressure to do well in school.

It seems books and music are the only people that are a constant understanding in her life.

Now she's eighteen years old, and has moved out of her Dunedin home, to Auckland University campus.

She thought this would be freedom for her, finally. Yet she still feels so caged.
