Imagine being 7 years old being told that since the day you were born that your father is a hardworking business man who puts his " business " before his family . That's all Mya Heart heard from her mother . Growing up without a father physically and mentally took a toll on her . As she aged she grew to not care for her father and always looked to her mother for moral support . If it was for monthly duties , school work , extracurricular activities , or even boys her mom was always there . 

On the other side of town known as the " West Side " in Gifford , Florida lived a troubled teen since birth named Ahmaad Demons . Ahmaad was what you would call a hot head getting into multiple fights a days , suspended from school , breaking and entering you name it that's what he did . Growing up in a single parent house hold took a toll on Ahmaad . Although , he tried to do right by his mom and go to school everyday the streets and his " boys " called his name. Growing up without a father left Ahmaad without knowing how to do manly things in which some his mother couldn't show him . 

One day at a local party Mya and Ahmaad cross paths and their lives change drastically read to find out more .

His mother's a chef at a restaurant, which his family owns, his sister goes to the college where his dad's the head dean, and him and his younger twin siblings have amazing grades in school. What'll happen when Emalisa un expectantly falls on Jaxon? He becomes undeniably interested with and in her. Emalisa feels a connection too, but is scared to react on it. The fact that their friends undeniably are head over heels for another doesn't help their situation and provides endless things to tease one another about. So please do read.
