[Undertale (2015) originally by Toby Fox. This story is an AU, and is written to be mostly understandable to non-fans.] TL;DR AU Chara & Frisk slow-burn enemies to friends. Newly awoken from a death that was supposed to be final, CHARA, misanthropic former Princet of Monsterkind, must contend with the fact that not only is it awake again, but it's stuck with a human, of all things, as its host. All it wants is to finally complete its plan to set its family free--but the owner of the head it's stuck in seems intent on getting in the way. At this point, closure seems impossible. But there's only so much two kids sharing a body can avoid each other. As the two settle into an awkward alliance, each with their own motivations to reach the King of All Monsters, it becomes apparent that they will need to use their unique bond to their advantage. The fate of this world has long been set in stone. But with enough determination, even mountains can be moved. A long time ago, two races dominated the land: monsters and humans. The relationship between both races was conflictual, hostile, and difficult, as humans feared monsters, both for their appearances and for the great power they could possess by obtaining a human soul. Because of this, monsters were always treated as scum and creatures to be feared, creating a significant prejudice against them. However, one day, the monsters grew tired of this situation, and their king decided to start a war against all humans, thus decreeing the beginning of ruin for their own people. This war lasted a long time, but in the end, the victors were the humans, who, with great magical power derived from the souls of the wizards of the time, sealed the monsters underground. Many years passed after this event. Legends said that any human who fell into that underground would die, but a child decided to go to the place where everything had been sealed. They ended up falling but managed to survive the fall and now seek a way to escape or a reason to stay. Immense credits to Error Sannes, a YouTube channel creating its own AU of StoryFell. Without his narrative, I would have created something much more basic, so to speak. Of course, I will also create my own scenes and specific interactions, but what he has done is already very good and helps me a lot to have a direction.
