Tears prickled in my eyes, threatning to slip out. A knot formed in my throat making it nearly impossible to breathe. I imagined what would happen to my father. The things that would be done to him made me shudder just thinking about them. I believed every word he said about leaving me with nothing. He dug his fingers into my arms until I felt them start to bruise my skin. I knew he wanted an answer right now.
"You're a monster, James." I finally croaked out with surrender evident in my voice .
He let out a deep chuckle. The side of his lip curled as he let go of my arms.
"And don't you forget it, darling."
